Reaches out to Physicians in 2007
The Healthy Babies Healthy Children (HBHC)
program reinforced an ongoing commitment
to ensure that every child (prenatal to
six years) in Ontario is provided with
opportunities to achieve his or her optimal
potential through access to integrated
programs and services that support healthy
child development.
Families need easy access to screening and
monitoring for healthy child development
throughout their children’s early years. One
way to achieve this is to obtain the support
of primary health care providers in the
ongoing monitoring of child development
through universal prenatal screening and
an enhanced 18 month immunization and
well baby visits.
