Expand students’ understanding of<br />
government and the world’s dynamic<br />
composition! The first semester of civics<br />
and world geography discusses the<br />
history and workings of national, state,<br />
and local governments, and the privileges<br />
and responsibilities of the individual<br />
citizen living within this political<br />
environment.<br />
The second semester is a study of world<br />
geography in both physical and human<br />
geography. Lesson topics include earth<br />
and human interactions, geographical<br />
and political regions of the world, human<br />
affects on the environment, the tools of<br />
the geographer, and man’s interaction in<br />
a changing world. Each unit of the course<br />
contains quizzes and a test to evaluate<br />
progress and student mastery. Projects<br />
and reports are included.<br />
