The <strong>Forme</strong> Thorpe range is designed to offer the perfect balance<br />
between high performance and comfort. Providing exceptional<br />
torsional rigidity without sacrificing vertical give to provide a<br />
winning formula for any serious racing cyclist or seasoned<br />
Sportive rider.<br />
Technology:<br />
Tapered head tube/steerer – Our Thorpe frames feature an<br />
1-1/8” to 1-1/2” tapered head tube and steerer. This allows<br />
for more precise steering when descending as well as improved<br />
power transfer when jumping out of corners and launching<br />
powerful attacks.<br />
BB30 – The BB30 oversized bottom bracket design used on the<br />
Thorpe ensures minimal flex at the connection point between<br />
the larger-sized chain stay, seat tube and down tube connection<br />
which allows a more direct conversion of power transfer.<br />
Narrow Seat Stays – With the reinforcement of additional<br />
cohesive resins and chunky square chain stays we have created<br />
a frame with narrower box shaped seat stays which allows<br />
the Thorpe to save weight without sacrificing power transfer.<br />
The stays are combined with a wishbone design at the top of<br />
the seat stay to provide marginal aerodynamic and strength<br />
advantages but predominantly to offer a sleeker and improved<br />
appearance.<br />
