(IMI), and iAyala Company, Inc. Delfin L. Lazaro. Mr. Lazaro, 57, has served as Director since January 1997. He is currently Chairman of the Executive Committee of Globe. He is also a Consultant and a member of the Management Committee of the Ayala Corporation. His other significant positions include: President of Ayala Infrastructure Ventures; Member of the Board of Directors of Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI). Also, Mr. Lazaro was formerly the President of Globe Telecom, Inc. and the President and CEO of Benguet Corporation and Secretary of the Department of Energy of the Philippine government. He was named Management Man of the Year 1999 by the Management Association of the Philippines for his contribution to the conceptualization and implementation of the Philippine Energy Development Plan and to the passage of the law creating the Department of Energy. He was also cited for stabilizing the power situation that helped the country achieve successively high growth levels up to the Asian crisis in 1997.
