Life’s Game

You feel as if you have been grounded, a concept that
you have not been able to grasp for years. Life itself is like
a game of baseball. You never know what throw is going to
be pitched your way. The thing that you don‟t understand,
however, is how to control that ball. It‟s almost like a game
of chance, except there is no praying that the probability of
you being successful is high. No one can determine this
without collecting an enormous amount of data or
spending an excessive amount of money for that matter.
You tend to take what life throws at you and run with it. No
pun intended.
So why is it that at this moment everything seems to
come crashing down like a ton of bricks forced upon you
and pressed down with excessive amounts of strength. Why
is it that a loss of footing causes you to tumble down a
mountain that you worked so hard to climb?
It‟s just a fastball thrown so fast that instead of it
hitting the bat, it socks you in the stomach. Shake it off
darling, and batter up.
