Children’s Magical Christmas Party
December 11 th 2010 was a very important date in the St. Patrick’s Society
Christmas calender, especially for the children. Put together party games, a
magician, delicious food and a visit from Santa and the result is a truly joyous
occasion for our St. Patrick’s Society younger members and more importantly
our VIP guests from the Rumah Shalom home in Puchong.

Bob once again opened their doors to host this year’s Christmas party, not
an easy feat considering Olwyn was delayed in the UK due to severe weather
and arrived just in time to put up the Christmas tree before our young guests
arrived. We really appreciate your generous hospitality Olwyn and Bob.
From the arrival of the first guests fun was the order of the day, aided in a
large part to the wonderful bouncy castle that ‘Crown Relocation’ provided for
the party. Whether the children were searching for clues on their Christmas
treasure hunt, being enthralled by our marvellous magician or playing football
with our amazing volunteer coaches from Orang Eire, John, Pat and JC, there
were a sea of smiling faces to be seen throughout the day. After lunch was
served, including some delicious pastries kindly donated by ‘Café Crème’ for
the occasion, the most important part of the day had arrived, a very special
visit by the man himself ...Santa!
This visit was made all the more special by the amazing generosity of our
Christmas Angels who had been delivering gifts by the sack load throughout the
previous week. Our VIP guests from Rumah Shalom home were overwhelmed
and it was super to watch their smiles as Santa presented each child with
their Christmas gift. Sincere thanks to all the “Angels” who really did make
Christmas happen for these children this year.
After that it was time to board the bus again for our young guests. Goodbyes
and hugs were exchanged between all the children who shared this great day
and off they headed home. Our sincere thanks go to ‘Pickfords’ for sponsoring
the transport of the children to and from their home in Puchong for the party.
Thanks also to all the Society families who came along to share this special day,
we hope you enjoyed it.
