Correct adjustment of Folio with synchronic mechanism.
Seat height
Seat height is continuously ad-
justable using the lever at the front
right of the seat (viewed from your
sitting position). Lift the lever and
release it when the seat is at the
desired height.
Backrest height
All Folio models feature a height-
adjustable backrest. The handwheel
located at the rear provides
continuous height adjustment.
Seat depth
Hold in the rear button, located underneath
the seat on the right-hand
side, to slide the seat forwards or
backwards.
Seat tilt
Turn the eccentric lever, located un-
derneath the seat on the rear lefthand
side, to set the seat tilt to zero
or -4°.

Synchronic seating mechanism
Use the lever at the front left of the
seat to select synchronic movement,
or to lock the seat and backrest
in the desired position. Lift the
lever and lean against the backrest
for synchronic movement. Press
the lever down to lock the backrest
at the current position.
Weight adjustment
The crank at the front right of the
seat adjusts the back support force
to your exact body weight. Turn the
crank forwards to increase the
force, or backwards to decrease it.
Armrests
Folio is available either with or
without 2-, 3- or 4-dimensional armrests.The
armrest height is adjusted
with the help of a push-button on
the outer side of the armrest. The
space between both armrests can
be adjusted. It is also possible to
equip the chair with armrests at a
later date. Armrest caps which can
be pushed forward and backward
(3-dimensional) and adjusted in angle
(4-dimensional) are optionally
available.
Ring-shaped armrests
As an alternative, Folio can be
equipped with ring-shaped armrests
which are adjustable in width
and height.

To find your ideal sitting position.
The seat height is correct when
your knees form a 90° angle
(thighs and feet horizontal). Important:
Be sure that you feel no pressure
on your thighs (restricted
blood circulation!). The work surface
is at the correct height when
your arms are at an angle of approximately
90° and your forearms
are almost parallel with the desktop.
Proper care of Folio
Folio mechanical and moving parts
and plastic components are all
maintenance-free. The cushion and
mesh can be cleaned with a soft
brush and ordinary textile-cleaning
agents. Nappa leather should be
cleaned periodically with a weak
soap solution, rinsed with clean
water, allowed to dry thoroughly,
and polished with a woollen cloth.
Do not use cleaning agents! Fibres
may collect around the castors if
the chair is used on a carpeted
floor and should be removed periodically.

A word about safety
The Folio design complies with international
safety standards and re-
quirements, and incorporates years
of Girsberger expertise in office
seating.
All plastic parts are impact-, chip-
and scratch-resistant.
Castors for carpet flooring are
fit-ted as standard. Soft castors
are available for hard flooring
and are identified by a coloured
ring on the outer rim.
The pneumatic spring unit must
not be exposed to heat or opened
forcefully.
Repair or replacement of the
pneumatic springs must be performed
by trained specialists
only.
