Lesson 1: Coloured shapes<br />

Primary Framework objective<br />

• Identify patterns <strong>and</strong> relationships involving numbers or shapes, <strong>and</strong> use these to solve problems.<br />

By the end of this lesson, <strong>children</strong> will be able to:<br />

• solve a puzzle by identifying the facts <strong>and</strong> prioritising them;<br />

• use one piece of information in the problem <strong>and</strong> see what effect it has;<br />

• check that their solution meets all the criteria.<br />
