Air Infiltration Test Pressure<br />
In reference to the chart on the previous slide, all operator types in the R,<br />
LC <strong>and</strong> CW classes are tested at 1.6 psf. This is the approximate pressure<br />
generated by a 25 mph wind.<br />
All AW class windows are tested for air infiltration at 6.2 psf, the<br />
approximate pressure generated by a 50 mph wind.<br />
All air infiltration tests are per ASTM E 283.<br />
There are two parameters for air infiltration testing:<br />
1) Test pressure<br />
2) Maximum allowed air leakage
