MAKE-UP POLICY<br />
Make-up lessons are guaranteed only if the teacher must cancel. If a student is ill,<br />
please notify the teacher before school so that an attempt can be made to switch<br />
lesson times with another student. If a student must miss a lesson for a doctor’s<br />
appointment, a vacation, field trip, a sporting event, or any other reason, it is the<br />
parents’ responsibility to notify the teacher by Monday of that week so that the<br />
teacher can attempt to reschedule the lesson.<br />
PRACTICE<br />
<strong>The</strong> success of the student depends on how much time the student practices each<br />
day. Lessons alone will not give the student the ability to play an instrument. Daily<br />
practice is very important to reach the weekly goals. Depending on the age of the<br />
student, parents may need to take an active role in assuring the student is<br />
practicing properly and is accomplishing the weekly assignments.
