An Important Reminder
As an incoming transfer student, you:
1. Must successfully complete the math requirement BEFORE starting your senior year – if you
want to graduate on time. Satisfactory completion of the math requirement is a prerequisite for
all of the courses that satisfy the laboratory/research requirement.
2. Must enroll in Psych 9A, 9B, and 9C if you did not complete an equivalent (articulated) series of
courses. These courses do not have to be taken in order.
3. Should consult the website http://www.transfercounseling.uci.edu/ for useful information.
4. May be eligible to participate in the two‐year Psych Honors Program. Additional information can
be found on the department website at: http://www.cogsci.uci.edu/undergraduates.php#honors.
“A good way to start getting
involved in research projects is
to approach faculty members
who you have had as
instructors and whose area of
expertise interests you.”
