Go. Just go.
I’ve wanted to go on a mission trip with
Chets for years. But every year, there was
always something that seemed to prevent
me. This year was no different. There always
seems to be a reason not to do God’s work.
Our Enemy sees to that. But this year I did
something different. I chose to go. I didn’t
overthink it. I didn’t “pray” about it, that is, I
didn’t use prayer as an excuse for inaction.
I overheard someone talking about the Rio
trip, felt compelled by God to go, and decided
to go - no matter what. From there,
I never looked back, and oh, God is good.
Spending a week completely focused
on loving people in Jesus’ name is an
experience unmatched by anything in the
world, and not only that, but it realigns and
reprioritizes your entire outlook, even after
you return. What would I say to someone
thinking about going on mission abroad
Go. Just go.
The Difference of ONE
The people of Guatemala continue to teach me
about joy, peace, and God’s great mercy. Almost
daily I have the opportunity to share my Guatemala
experience with co-workers and patients,
and God uses each encounter for his glory. I
continue to be blessed by this!
