3 WORKSHOPS Beginners Design Workshop: Mass Design Wednesday, March 16, 2011 1:00-3:00 PM Cost $15.00 The third beginner and last in the series of beginner workshops, this month we will make a mass design. All supplies will be provided for the supply fee of $15.00. Bring clippers or kitchen scissors, your design manual, a lazy-susan, if you have one, and an old bath towel to work on. Paid registration to Mary Pulick by March 11th. The Creative Design Workshop scheduled for Monday, February 28th at 1:00PM is canceled and replaced with a Flower Show Design Preparation Workshop. Contact Gail Pica 774-3507 for more information. Membership for March TP We have 46 current provisionals including eight new provisionals for the Valentine month of February. Connie Kappus has sponsored her sister-in-law, Maureen Kappus. Hailing from Mactier, Ontario, Canada---Maureen is a former member of the Ontario Garden Club. This active lady has already enthusiastically joined many of our Garden Club activities. Debbie Black is sponsoring 2 new provisionals. Mary Jo (MJ) Heiderman, from Ocean City MD is a member of the Salisbury MD Garden Club and a volunteer at the Naples Botanical Garden. Patricia O’Hara, originally gardening in California, has experience with orchids and is looking forward to joining our horticultural group. Jane Wynn, sponsored by Arlette Bradley, hails from Wheaton IL. Jane’s fabulous gardens have been chosen 3 times for nursery and Master Garden tours. Welcome, Jane. Sandy Hobby, from Loudonville, Ohio and Maine, is a member of the Garden Club in Spruce Head Maine where her house was on the Garden Tour. She is also a partner of a small wholesale nursery, with a marketing, business and horticultural background. Varick Niles has sponsored Michele Seass from Princeton, NJ. Michele has exhibited at the Philadelphia Flower show, as well as chairing Design competitions and the Provisional Class. This talented lady is also a member of The League Club and has chaired the Trinity Church Christmas Bazaar. Jeanne Bowen has sponsored Pam Siegert from Rock Island, IL. Pam belongs to the Quad Cities Garden Club where she has chaired many committees and has Board experience. She has also been a commercial Tour Operator----Do I see Future Head House tour hostess in her future Kathy Shea, sponsored by Sharon Hiltonen, hails from Dartmouth, MA. Kathy has worked for IBM, been CEO of community Bank as well as managing director of a multi-national bank, and has started her own consulting company. This busy and talented lady is proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. A Special Congratulations wish to Cathy Miner. The Butterfly Couple---Mike and Jackie Malloy, Barbara Crossley, and Ellie Klingbiel.
