what happened: “Did somebody hit you” But
the boy could not stop crying to answer. When he
finally calmed down, he said: “No, teacher, it is this
song.” It was the transformation of the heart that
was taking place in this boy that moved him to tears
when he heard the value song. These are just some
of the wonderful experiences we have had in this
Sathya Sai School. There are 12 other Sathya Sai
Schools and 7 Sathya Sai Institutes in Latin America
in which this same love is transforming the hearts
and lives of all.
Example of Love in Action
I have come to understand that it is not the
information, nor the techniques, but the true love
that pours out from the hearts of teachers that
transforms the children. This gives us a glimpse of
what is so special about a Sathya Sai School: a teacher
must be an example of love in action, every moment,
every day throughout the year. The teacher must
develop constant integrated awareness, that is,
uninterrupted Divine Love, if the Sathya Sai
School is to fulfill its mission.
Swami gave me a unique golden opportunity.
The opportunity to have my head in the forest and
hands in the society; to have my heart in Prasanthi
Nilayam and in the Sathya Sai School, and to be able
to share this experience with my scientist colleagues.
From the depths of my heart, Bhagavan, I offer You
my gratitude and my life.
Three Prayers
Swami, I would like to offer at Your Lotus
Feet three prayers. First, please help us to keep our
hearts perfectly pure, so that we can become perfect
instruments in Your Divine Mission. Second, help
us to constantly pour our loving energy in the
Sathya Sai Schools, with determination, discipline,
and devotion. And finally, Swami, may all Sathya
Sai Schools in the world flourish, grow, and shine,
sharing Your Love and Your Message with the entire
mankind.

Dr. Dalton de Souza Amorim has been a full professor
and researcher in biology at the University of Sao Paulo
in Brazil since 1990 and holds an M.S. and Ph.D. from
the university. His M.S. and Ph.D. theses were each
recognised as the best in the country in his area of
research. He coordinated undergraduate and graduate
courses and has been honoured nine times by his students
for excellence in teaching. In his field, he has contributed
4 published books, 17 chapters in books, and dozens of
papers published in national and international journals.
He is an editor of several books and has been awarded
a number of grants for scientific research. In the Sathya
Sai Organisation he has served as National Education
Coordinator, Central Coordinator, and Zone Chairman. He
is currently one of the teachers in the basic and diploma
courses at the Brazil Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Education.
