San Bernardino County Board of Education trustees are elected to serve a four-year<br />
term, with each trustee representing one of five district areas. The Board establishes<br />
policy, adopts an annual budget, approves building plans, and hears student<br />
expulsion and interdistrict transfer appeals. Regular meetings of the County Board<br />

The County Committee on School District Organization has responsibility for dealing<br />
with all school district organization matters. Organization includes altering the number<br />
of trustees, establishing trustee boundaries, school district boundary changes, and/or<br />
unification. The County Committee consists of <strong>11</strong> members; two from each supervisorial<br />
district and one member elected at-large. Terms of office are for four years. For more<br />
