Welcome to the Cycling Section of the<br />

<strong>Maryborough</strong> <strong>Masters</strong> <strong>Games</strong><br />

To all competitors and visitors, I would like to extend to you on behalf of all members of the Fraser Coast<br />

Cycling Club a warm welcome to this year’s <strong>Maryborough</strong> <strong>Masters</strong> <strong>Games</strong>. I hope your weekend of<br />

competition is successful and enjoyable in as much as the pain and suffering of competition will allow.<br />

This year medals will be given to 1 st , 2 nd & 3 rd placed competitors of each group in all events ie Ramp<br />

Sprints, Time Trials, Road Race and Kermese. Point winners Jersey’s and Champion of Champion trophy<br />

will be presented at the FREE BBQ on Sunday afternoon.<br />

On Saturdays road race we have a change to the road circuit for some competitors due to road works,<br />

please make sure you are aware of these changes.<br />

The Fraser Coast Cycling Club is also hosting the <strong>2009</strong> Para-cycling State Road Championships in<br />

conjunction with this year <strong>Maryborough</strong> <strong>Masters</strong> Cycling Event. Riders in disability cycling will not be<br />

competition in the <strong>Masters</strong> <strong>Games</strong> but may be riding in your event, please make these riders feel welcome<br />

and respect each others abilities.<br />

While visiting our city and the Fraser Coast, please take time to take in some of our regions attractions,<br />

such as the Wharf Street precinct with its heritage buildings and museums and the nearby parks and<br />

gardens.<br />

The <strong>Masters</strong> <strong>Games</strong> weekend is prominent on our clubs road racing calendar so to all those volunteers<br />

who have given their time to make this event the success it is, to you all I say Thank you.<br />

To all competitors and visitors great competition and good fun.<br />
