With more than 469,000 square feet, this full-service, 95-bed hospital and medical office campus is dedicated to serving the health and wellness needs of more than 136,500 residents in McKinney and the surrounding area. Meet Our Leadership Team SCOTT PEEK PRESIDENT, BAYLOR MEDICAL CENTER AT MCKINNEY Before joining Baylor McKinney, Scott Peek served as chief operating officer at Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine, which received the Texas Award for Performance Excellence from Texas Quality Foundation in 2009. Peek, named Young Healthcare Executive of the Year by the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council in 2009, is known for his ability to facilitate employee engagement, accountability and excellence everywhere he has served. He holds two master’s degrees, one in healthcare administration and one in business administration, from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Peek and his family recently relocated to McKinney and love their new community. MELISSA WINTER CHIEF NURSING OFFICER & CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER STEVE ROUSSEL CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER & CHIEF COMPLIANCE OFFICER Serving in two critical roles, Melissa Winter is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating nursing and ancillary services to ensure the delivery of quality, compassionate care. Before joining Baylor McKinney, she served as vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer for THE HEART HOSPITAL Baylor Plano. Winter was listed among the Great 100 Nurses in Dallas-Fort Worth in 2009 and received the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council’s Young Healthcare Executive of the Year award in 2010. She is a graduate of West Texas A&M University, where she earned a bachelor’s in nursing and a master’s in nursing administration, and is currently pursuing her doctorate in nursing practice. Steve Roussel is responsible for financial planning and budgeting, and the hospital compliance program. Before joining Baylor McKinney, Roussel served as vice president of finance and as compliance officer for Baylor Medical Center at Waxahachie. During his tenure, he helped improve hospital operations through strong financial management and increased staffing productivity. Roussel received a bachelor’s degree in finance/ accounting from Abilene Christian University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Dallas.
