R.C.T.S. PHOTOGRAPHS – ORDERING INFORMATION<br />

<strong>The</strong> <strong>Society</strong> has a collection of images dating from pre-war up to the present day. <strong>The</strong><br />

images, which are mainly the work of late members, are arranged in in thirteen lists shown<br />

below. <strong>The</strong> full set of lists covers upwards of 30,000 images. <strong>The</strong>y are :<br />

<strong>List</strong> 3 Electric locomotives, EMUs & Trolleybuses<br />

<strong>List</strong>s may be downloaded from the web site but may also be ordered from<br />

photoarchive@rcts.org.uk. <strong>List</strong>s can be supplied by any of the following methods :<br />

1. By email attachment as zip files (a charge of 50p will be made, but please note<br />

that recipients<br />

will require the appropriate software to extract the lists)<br />

2. By email attachment as a self-extracting zip (.exe) files (plus 50p delivery)<br />

3. On CD (a charge of £3.50 inc P&P will be made for delivery by CD)<br />

PRICING AND ORDERING INFORMATION<br />

information.<br />

NOTES ON THE LISTS<br />

1. All photos are ¾ front views unless otherwise stated.<br />

2. Colour photographs are identified by a ‘(C)’ after the reference number.<br />

3. Vertical format prints are identified by a ‘VF’ after the reference number.<br />

4. Vertical format colour prints are identified by a ‘CVF’ after the reference number.<br />

5. A quality grading code is being gradually introduced to assist you in choosing your<br />

requirements. <strong>The</strong> codes are:<br />

VG Very good – good lighting <strong>and</strong> all details clearly visible<br />

G Good – similar to VG but not quite optimum conditions<br />

FG Fairly good – some parts, i.e. under-frames etc may be in shadow or details<br />

unclear<br />

F Fair – Subjects where buffers, chimneys or tenders etc have been cut off but<br />

otherwise are of reasonable quality<br />

P Poor – Prints of interesting or unusual subjects of a quality, which would not<br />

normally be included in the catalogue.<br />

*(R) Indicates loco is in rebuilt form.<br />

1. All photographic prints are supplied in good faith that either the copyright is owned by the<br />

RCTS or that it has not proved possible to identify or attribute copyright.<br />

2. Prints are supplied on condition that they may be used only for private study <strong>and</strong><br />

research.
