LAMINATED SPLIT-LIMBS
Hoyt’s XT Series limbs are built using
our exclusive 5 Layer Lamination process.
The limbs are contoured, or
pre-stressed and engineered with
Uniform Stress Distribution (USD)
Technology. When XT limbs are
flexed, stress is distributed evenly
over the entire length of the limb,
eliminating the normal “hot spots”
found on traditional solid limbs.
2
Initially, the limb begins as a
pre-stressed, contoured limb.
The limb becomes straighter
as more load is applied.
The more load (bend), the more
energy is stored throughout the
entire length of the limb.
At full draw, the limb harnesses more
power and produces more speed
with reduced stress on the limbs.
Cams to a bow are like an engine to a car. Without them, nothing happens.
And just as there is no greater feeling than getting behind the wheel of a car
equipped with a finely tuned engine, there is no better feeling than drawing
and shooting a bow equipped with a perfect set of cams. That’s why at Hoyt,
so much focus and energy is put in to designing and building innovative cam
systems that make archers and bowhunters better. Since the introduction
of the Cam & 1/2 Performance System in 2003, top pros shooting Cam &
1/2 Technology have won more national and international tournaments than
any other bow company in the world. In fact, it’s been total domination. For
2007, Hoyt proudly unveils the Vector and C2 Cam & 1/2 Systems. The next
generation of high performance cams for serious archers and bowhunters.
FORCE DRAW COMPARISON
3/4” SPLIT LIMB TECHNOLOGY
Hoyt’s patented 3/4” Split Limb Technology provides for an effective
overall width of 2 ¼ inches, creating much more lateral and torsional
stability than that of a traditional 1 ½ inch solid limb design.
The 3/4” Split Limb design also eliminates the vulnerable v-groove
and limb bolt groove or hole where failure most often occurs on
traditional solid limbs. 3/4” Split Limbs are lighter, more efficient
and provide increased arrow speeds, durability and accuracy.
ZEPHYR
ZEPHYR CAM & 1/2 SYSTEM
Available on the Hoyt Trykon, the highperformance
Zephyr cam is packed with
custom features. The Zephyr builds energy
quickly during the draw cycle and is
effortless to hold at full draw. In addition,
Adjustable Valley Technology makes it easy
to choose from a hard, medium, or soft valley without affecting let-off. Zephyr Cam
& 1/2 is available in 65% and 80% let-off and ½” draw increments.
ALPHASHOX
AlphaShox fit strategically between Hoyt’s 3/4” Split Limbs, delivering highly
effective vibration dampening and noise elimination. Designed by Hoyt and
LimbSaver ® , each AlphaShox segment is designed for full-spectrum noise
and vibration elimination. AlphaShox offer ten linear inches of durable
Navcom dampening material contributing to a whisper quiet shot.
TRIAX AND DUAL LOCKING POCKET SYSTEM
Hoyt’s Triax Pocket Stabilization System is just one of the many
features that set Hoyt bows apart from everything else. Hoyt’s Dual-
Locking Pockets integrate with the exclusive Triax forks, which are
machined directly into the riser. This connection increases contact
area between the pivot dowel and riser, ensuring optimal alignment
and creating exceptional pocket strength and stability, which are critical
to consistency and accuracy.
VECTOR CAM & 1/2 SYSTEM
As a leader in cam innovation and
design, it’s no wonder that Hoyt engineers
spend countless hours in the
lab designing, tweaking and perfecting
cams. The new Vector Cam & 1/2 is a
testament to their dedication. The effortless
and steady draw cycle of the new Vector Cam & 1/2 makes it the smoothest drawing,
high-performance cam on the market. These high-efficiency cams transfer stored
energy into blistering speeds that will light up the chronograph. The Vector Cam can
be shot as either 65% or 75% let-off by adjusting the draw stop peg designed in to
the cam and is available in ½” draw increments.
CAM & 1/2 SYSTEM
The original Cam & 1/2 has become the
standard by which all other cams are measured.
Thanks to a gradual and comfortable
draw force curve, the Cam & 1/2 is extremely
smooth to draw back and shoot. Speed,
accuracy and dependability also make the Cam
& 1/2 a perfect choice for bowhunters and target shooters everywhere. It is available
in 65% or 75% let-off and features a draw length adjustment system.
VERSA CAM & 1/2 SYSTEM
The Versa Cam & 1/2 provides young
archers with proven Cam & 1/2 technology
and performance along with 8 full
inches of draw length adjustment. So, as
they grow, so will their bow. Cam & 1/2
Technology will also help them shoot their
best, which means they will be happier and
more confident. (Available in 65% let-off)
C2 CAM & 1/2 SYSTEM
Since its introduction, more top pro
shooters from around the world have
shot their way to the winner’s podium
with Cam & 1/2 Technology than with
any other cam system on the market.
The new C2 Cam & 1/2 is certain to
continue this incredible trend. It has been specifically designed for Hoyt’s longer
limb bows and built for ultimate accuracy. Although the main design characteristic
of the cam is accuracy, it still remains exceptionally fast and smooth. The C2 Cam
& 1/2 can be shot with the string peg for a hard wall, or without the peg for a much
softer wall. It is available in 65% let-off and ½” draw length increments.
WHEEL & 1/2 SYSTEM
The Wheel & 1/2 features the same
technology found in Cam & 1/2 but
in a round wheel design. It provides
a smooth and consistent pull with a
gradual descent at the back of the draw
cycle for a softer, more “spongy” feel. Perfect for finger shooters or others who
prefer an ultra soft wheel. Includes a removable draw stop peg for a hard wall feel.
Available in ½” draw increments and 65% let-off.
