Aviary system for housing laying hens
MELLER has developed a future-oriented housing system, which
allows as kombi system appropriate and economical laying hen
housing and combines a multitude of essential advantages.
Due to the desired flexibility on the part of the laying hen farmers
a kombi system was developed, which already is proven
in practice and which offers the farmers in view of the variable
assignment of the equipments different application possibilities.
The equipment can be inserted as aviary system for floor keeping
and after insignificant alteration as small group housing system,
which was already considered in the construction.
Laying nests, appropriate perches, maintenance units as well as
egg-collecting belts on both sides in each tier are available. Displaced
eggs inside the equipment will be excluded thereby.
Through this style a separate nest tier is not necessary.
Furthermore the advantage of this equipment is the low building
height; therefore this equipment can also be planned optimal
in flat buildings.
Proven characteristics:

• Water supply through nipple drinkers with water
catching trays.

Kombi-laying-aviary
Opposite to conventional floor keeping the aviary system offers
the advantage of a higher stocking rate and a better husbandry
and therefore a higher economy.
Concerning feeding area, number of drinkers and the length of
the perches the MELLER kombi-laying-aviary complies with the
legal directions. Through the design it is possible for the birds to
carry out animal-friendly behaviour and a free movement inside
the equipment. This equipment offers the advantage of a fully
self working system, because no additional components are
necessary.
The known and proven characteristics of the MELLER products
can also be found at the housing system of the MELLER layingaviary.

from 2 sides. A crushing of the birds isn’t possible.

belts in combination with an Elevator or Lift-System.
