Aviary system for hous<strong>in</strong>g <strong>lay<strong>in</strong>g</strong> hens<br />

<strong>MELLER</strong> has developed a future-oriented hous<strong>in</strong>g system, which<br />

allows as kombi system appropriate and economical <strong>lay<strong>in</strong>g</strong> hen<br />

hous<strong>in</strong>g and comb<strong>in</strong>es a multitude of essential advantages.<br />

Due to the desired flexibility on the part of the <strong>lay<strong>in</strong>g</strong> hen farmers<br />

a kombi system was developed, which already is proven<br />

<strong>in</strong> practice and which offers the farmers <strong>in</strong> view of the variable<br />

assignment of the equipments different application possibilities.<br />

The equipment can be <strong>in</strong>serted as <strong>aviary</strong> system for floor keep<strong>in</strong>g<br />

and after <strong>in</strong>significant alteration as small group hous<strong>in</strong>g system,<br />

which was already considered <strong>in</strong> the construction.<br />

Lay<strong>in</strong>g nests, appropriate perches, ma<strong>in</strong>tenance units as well as<br />

egg-collect<strong>in</strong>g belts on both sides <strong>in</strong> each tier are available. Displaced<br />

eggs <strong>in</strong>side the equipment will be excluded thereby.<br />

Through this style a separate nest tier is not necessary.<br />

Furthermore the advantage of this equipment is the low build<strong>in</strong>g<br />

height; therefore this equipment can also be planned optimal<br />

<strong>in</strong> flat build<strong>in</strong>gs.<br />

Proven characteristics:<br />

• a solid construction made from high-class materials,<br />

<strong>in</strong> perfect process<strong>in</strong>g.<br />

• a sophisticated and nearly ma<strong>in</strong>tenance-free<br />

technology, <strong>in</strong> detail, guarantees a long durability and<br />

therefore a high economy.<br />

• Water supply through nipple dr<strong>in</strong>kers with water<br />

catch<strong>in</strong>g trays.<br />

• Feed<strong>in</strong>g through proven feed cha<strong>in</strong>.<br />

• Perches- and approach rods <strong>in</strong> adequate length,<br />

optimal positioned.<br />

<strong>Kombi</strong>-<strong>lay<strong>in</strong>g</strong>-<strong>aviary</strong><br />

Opposite to conventional floor keep<strong>in</strong>g the <strong>aviary</strong> system offers<br />

the advantage of a higher stock<strong>in</strong>g rate and a better husbandry<br />

and therefore a higher economy.<br />

Concern<strong>in</strong>g feed<strong>in</strong>g area, number of dr<strong>in</strong>kers and the length of<br />

the perches the <strong>MELLER</strong> kombi-<strong>lay<strong>in</strong>g</strong>-<strong>aviary</strong> complies with the<br />

legal directions. Through the design it is possible for the birds to<br />

carry out animal-friendly behaviour and a free movement <strong>in</strong>side<br />

the equipment. This equipment offers the advantage of a fully<br />

self work<strong>in</strong>g system, because no additional components are<br />

necessary.<br />
