Campers start with 2 days of in-camp skills and safety training, trip preparation, and then shift to 10 days of canoeing on a river in Northern Wisconsin, covering 100 – 125 miles! Trips are singlegender and are led by trained Icaghowan staff. Session dates #days Rates 4 & 5 River July 17 – 29 13 $975 6 & 7 River July 31 – August 12 13 $975 JunIoR leAdeRS 2 weeks — Ages 13 & 14 The Junior Leaders program is for campers who want to learn and expand their leadership skills. The program focuses on individual leadership style investigation, identification and implementation. In addition to your fun activities at camp, your group will spend 4 days on a canoe trip. All JL programs are single-gender and are led by experienced Icaghowan staff. Session dates #days Rates 3 & 4 Jl July 10-22 13 $975 5 & 6 Jl July 24-August 5 13 $975 7 & 8 Jl August 7-19 13 $975 woRk leAdeRShIP CAMP Counselor in Training 3 weeks — Age 15 The Work Leadership Camp program is designed for campers to develop and practice leadership skills in a residential camp setting. The first part of the session focuses on leadership, service-learning, and team building. The next phase is spent on a weeklong river canoe and camping trip developing trail and group leadership skills. The final phase is spent applying their new skills as a Counselor-in-Training (CIT) at Camp Icaghowan. CITs will be assigned to a senior staff member to mentor them during this session. Space is limited to 12 campers per session. 2011 CAMP SESSIoNS FAMIlY CAMP Bring your entire family to beautiful Camp Icaghowan! Enjoy a wonderful family trip – sleep in cabins, enjoy all your meals in the dining hall, and participate in great programs run by the camp staff. You can participate in activities like canoeing, climbing, swimming, arts and crafts, family games, evening campfires, and gazing at a billion stars. It’s a great way to introduce your children to overnight camp. Many families will attend Family Camp together in May, and their children will excitedly return for a summer session. Session dates #days Rates Memorial weekend May 28-30 3 Adults $100 Youth $60 wInteR CAMP Grab some winter fun at Camp Icaghowan! We offer two winter programs for different age groups: wInteR exPeRIenCe Ages 8 – 11 / Grades 3 – 6 Campers play outside snowshoeing, following animal tracks, and playing winter games on Lake Wapogasset. Winter Experience participants sleep indoors both Friday and Saturday night. wInteR AdventuReS Ages 12 – 18 / Grades 7 – 12 Campers receive training in winter camping skills and are outfitted with winter camping equipment, including clothes and a minus 40-degree sleeping bag. The crew sleeps indoors Friday night and then, with trained winter camp staff, trek out around Icaghowan and build winter shelters to sleep in Saturday night. Sunday the crew returns to a big celebration banquet.
