WOMEN’S-SPECIFIC FRAMES
Specially calculated Designs for Women geometry puts you in
the most efficient and stable position on the bike.
And since we know that women, on average, are lighter at any
given height, we create smaller diameter tubing on all carbon
and alloy women’s frames. This means more compliance and
lighter overall bike weights for you.

WOMEN’S-SPECIFIC COMPONENTS
GEARS – Compact doubles or compact triples used on all
road models. Wide gear ranges in the rear cassette enable you
to conquer every hill and ride with greater ease.
CRANKS – Size of cranks optimized to size of bike (either 165,
170 or 172.5 crank lengths). Whenever possible, we use 165
crank lengths on smaller sized bikes to better fulfill your
natural desire to spin.
HANDLEBARS – Not only do we use more compact handle-
bars to accommodate women’s narrower width shoulders, but
we've designed women’s drop (road) handlebars that bring
the brake and shift levers closer to your hands. Creating
optimal comfort, confidence and control.
We continue to be the only company that makes a women’s
carbon bar, but new for this year, as seen on the 2008
S-Works Ruby model, is an ultra lightweight one-piece handle-
bar/stem combination called the Ruby Mac.
SADDLES – You’ll find Designs for Women Body Geometry
saddles on all of our women’s bikes. All BG saddles have
been medically proven to relieve soft tissue pressure and
support the sit bones for added comfort.
