Inside YogaLiving |
Letter to the Readers
Celebrating9Years of Service!
Yoga Living
began as
a glorified
newsletter in 1999. From its inception
to the present day, our magazine has been
greeted with enthusiasm from the burgeoning
holistic community. Whether
they are practitioners, supporters or solidified
believers – all of them are seeking
ways to maximize the movement and
their potential to effect change within it.
While the theme of this issue is
Education, the goal of every issue we publish
is public education. The mission of
Yoga Living is to reach to the local community
and educate everyone about the myriad
of holistic options available to them.
One of the revolutionary concepts that
Yoga Living drives home to the holistic
community is this: Advertising can be
educationally driven. Done well, it can be
a sign-post announcing important information
to the person who is ready to
receive it. Consider it a “Hey you! Learn
this and your life will improve!” from the
universe.
While we all live in a capitalistic society,
you will find that most holistic practitioners
have strong values that are not driven
by the typical business-like desires of
money and/or power. The lofty goals of
providing health and healing services are
not easily achieved through traditional
methods of marketing. However, by
enforcing strict editorial guidelines that
keep articles focused on education, and
working with our advertisers to present
their services in an educational format,
Yoga Living uplifts our readers and maintains
the integral level of service principles
on which the magazine was founded.
All of this depends on you, the reader to
experience all the benefits of success that
holistic education has to offer. We invite
you to do so within these pages... may
your path be illuminated as you read.
