ANGÉLIQUE KIDJO CONTRACT RIDER <strong>2010</strong><br />

BACKLINE REQUIREMENTS<br />

THE BACKLINE EQUIPMENT: Backline to be provided <strong>and</strong> paid by purchaser when showing in main<br />

<strong>contract</strong>, unless advised otherwise. This backline <strong>rider</strong> is subject to change. Any substitutions from the backline list<br />

require consultation with Angelique’s production manager during show advance. Backline equipment for the<br />

Angelique’s b<strong>and</strong> will be set-up at least (2) hours prior to sound check. A backline technician will be required to be<br />

on stage during set-up <strong>and</strong> sound check. Percussion <strong>and</strong> Drums are not to be shared with opening performers.<br />

DRUM KIT - Professional model Yamaha, DW or Sonor)<br />

All drums should have coated Remo Ambassador heads on the batter side,<br />

• CYMBALS- 2 Zildjian K Custom 18' crashes<br />

• Bass drum should have coated Remo Weatherking Powerstroke 3 head<br />

• One (1) DRUM RUG that entire kit can fit on<br />

• One (1) Drummer's throne (heavy duty w/ motorcycle seat)<br />

• One (1) Bass Drum Foot-Pedal (DW, Pearl, Tama, or Camco)<br />

• One (1) Bass drum w/spurs – 14” x 20” or "16” x 20”<br />

• One (1) Snare Drum –"14" x "5 1/2"<br />

• One (1) Snare Drum – "13" x "5 1/2" (metal is preferred)<br />

• Two (2) mounted Tom-Toms – 8” x 10” <strong>and</strong> 8” x 12”<br />

• One (1) Floor Tom 16”x 16"w/legs (floor tom must have legs – no rack floor tom will be accepted)<br />

• Two (2) snare drum st<strong>and</strong>s<br />

• Four (4) Cymbal St<strong>and</strong>s, at least two boom st<strong>and</strong>s<br />

• One (1) Hi-Hat St<strong>and</strong> w/cymbal clutch<br />

• One (1) LP Bongos with St<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> tuning wrench<br />

• One (1) LP Percussion tray<br />

• One (1) LP Fat Congas or Schlagwerk Cajon<br />

PERCUSSION (African Percussion)<br />

• 3 LP CONGAS with LP 636 Cradles (with legs) Sizes = Conga 11 3⁄4”, Tumba 12 1⁄2”, Quinto 11 1/2”<br />

• LP Pair of Bongos with LP st<strong>and</strong><br />

• (1) Djembe St<strong>and</strong><br />

• (1) LP Universal Basket St<strong>and</strong><br />

• (2) Percussion tables. One with (1) rack. One (1) 2.5’ in height <strong>and</strong> no smaller than 2’ x 2’<br />

• (4) Boom Cymbals st<strong>and</strong>s,<br />

• Cymbals; One 10” Splash. One12” Splash. One 14” Crash<br />

• (1) Set of chimes<br />

• (2) Cowbells (small <strong>and</strong> large)<br />

• (1) Agogo Bell<br />

• (1) Tamborine<br />

• (2) LP blocks (blue <strong>and</strong> red)<br />

BASS RIG:<br />

• Eden World Tour Bass Amp 350 watts or better<br />

• Two 4 X 10” <strong>and</strong> 2x12” bass speaker Cabinets: Eden Cabinets (preferred), Ampeg, Hartke, or SWR<br />

GUITAR RIG:<br />

• Two Electric Guitar Amps ( One is a back up). Choices: Rol<strong>and</strong> Jazz Chorus 120 (preferred), Fender Blues<br />

Deville Twin Reverb, Mesa Boogie Mark IV or DC5.<br />

• Please place all Guitar amps on the lids <strong>and</strong> cover lids with Duvatyne or black masking.<br />

• One Acoustic Guitar Amp. First Choice is AER Acoustic-cube. Other acceptable amps in order of<br />

preference are: Trace Elliot TA100, TA150, AER Acoustic-cube, AER Compact 60, AER Bingo, SWR<br />

California Blonde, SWR Strawberry Blonde, Fender Acoustica<br />

• Four 15 ft. 1/4” Guitar patch cables.<br />

• Three Guitar St<strong>and</strong>s with neck support.<br />

ADDITIONAL ITEMS<br />

• One Small Square table with black tablecloth cover for Angélique on Stage.<br />
