TRADING POLICY SUMMARY
WHO BENEFITS FROM FOOTPATH TRADING GUIDELINES
Traders benefit from increased pedestrian traffic flow, and there are improved
sight lines for pedestrians, who feel safer walking to and from businesses.
Shoppers no longer have to navigate through goods placed on all parts of the
footpath.
Around twenty percent of Australians have a disability that impacts on their
ability to move around. Removing obstacles from footpaths improves access
for everyone, including parents with prams, older people with walking frames,
people with a disability and drivers delivering goods.
