AMERICAN REVOLUTION AWARD<br />

Spencer Blank ‘05 is this year’s recipient of the Daughters<br />

of the American Revolution Award and was named the<br />

overall winner from the North San Mateo San Andreas<br />

Lake Chapter.<br />

Students are nominated based on academic achievement,<br />

service, dependability, patriotism and character. Local<br />

winners submitted a resume on all of their activities and<br />

accomplishments and then wrote an additional essay<br />

on “Our American Heritage and our Responsibility for<br />

Preserving It.”<br />

NATIONAL MERIT SCHOLARS<br />

Five seniors were named in the 51 st Annual National Merit Scholarship<br />

Corporation competition. Victor Kang ‘05 was named a Semifinalist and will<br />

have an opportunity to continue in the competition for approximately 8,200 Merit<br />

Scholarship awards<br />

offered next spring.<br />
