Introduction to Tier One Design
Tier One Design Ltd are a team of website designers and software developers based in
Staffordshire who provide all kinds of clients and budgets with attractive, easy to use websites,
iPhone, iPad and android apps, EPOS software and bespoke programming services.
Unlike most other pure design companies our history is steeped in advanced PC and Mac
technologies meaning as well as handing over a cosmetically pleasing design we are also able to
back it up with our 22 years experience in IT and advanced code meaning all work is produced
in-house to very high standards, which gives you the client a true one stop shop and normally at
more competitive pricing than our peers can offer you.
We are full Apple authorised iOS and OSX developers, with multiple apps live on the Apple App
store including the globally acclaimed iManage and the beautiful ShutterPro.
The following pages offer a cursory glance into what we provide for clients old and new. Due to
the often bespoke nature of what we do at Tier One Design it’s impossible to keep this document
as up to date as we’d like. However it should provide enough information to demonstrate our
skill sets and prove that partnering with Tier One Design could be a great decision to make for

Static ‘Brochure’ Websites
Brochure style websites are ‘information-only’ sites, typically of 10 pages or less with general
image, text and animation content that cannot be edited via a content management system. All
our websites can be updated but for brochure sites you’ll need to ‘pay per change’ over its lifetime,
static sites still prove great value for money if the content does not need changing any more than
a handful of times per year.
We approach these projects by designing initial concept layout and upon your approval we
develop the design and build the site normally within 7-10 days using clean and highly efficient
CSS Modal coding so all Tier One Design Sites are quick and Google/ Bing friendly.

Tier One Design have been fully authorised iPhone, iPad and Mac OSX developers since 2009,
Android since 2011 and we recently became authorised Blackberry 10x developers in 2013.
We have released many apps via different methods; direct to business, to the public under our
own name and as sub-contractors to other agencies. Some of the most popular apps that you
can check out (that we can advertise publicily) are ShutterPro (social photo sharing, storage, and
editing), TCR fm which was donated by T1D to Total Choice Radio (a self funded station) and of
course the acclaimed onsite engineers app: iManage (see imanageapp.com)

Bespoke EPOS Systems
EPOS (Electronic Point Of Sale) has been with us for many years now, but its far from boring old
school technology in the right hands; A Tier One Design EPOS system will not only efficiently run
the daily cash & credit card transactions of your business, but it can also display your internal
CCTV right on your till screen! We can also provide web browsing, email, eBay store’s can be
operated and viewed directly from your till and for the high security businss (jewellery shops, gold
buyers) your till can even open and lock your shop door!
Not only this but as your dealing with certified app developers, why not have your own app you
can then monitor all of your tills, CCTV, X, Y and Z reads, and reports live and on the move!

Stock Control Systems
A stock control system from Tier One Design means more than just knowing what goods are sat
in your warehouses or out in transit. It also gives you up to the second reports, both historically and
reactively meaning it can email or text your purchasing manager when your running out of your
best seller or have nearly ran out of components for that large order that has to be out by the end
of the week.
As you’d expect with all software from Tier One Design, our in-house iOS and Android app
programmers have made bespoke and complimentary iPad / Android companion apps to allow
mobile monitoring of stock, inbound deliveries and RMA’s.
We also provide a delivery / engineer version which will allow all your staff to scan goods on and
off vehicles and clients premises with instant feedback to head office of the devlivery being made
yet prevent them from seeing confidential information. It will time stamp every movement of your
goods providing a full audit trail and as it’s live tracking you can even inform your client via email,
text or Twitter straight to their desk when a delivery has been made but left with reception.
You can even use the same software in-house to manage your warehouse or stock room meaning
your also saving a bundle on expensive handheld scanners and replacement batteries!

Unless specified in the quotation the items below are not
normally included in our quotation;
• Scanning charges
• Content creation Proof-reading & copy editing
• Corrections to any previously approved design/code
• Any additional buy-in costs for materials such as
images, photography, SEO, Social Marketing etc.
Working with us for the first time
As this is your first project with us, we will normally ask
for a comissioning deposit prior to commencement of
the project (typically 40% of the total project cost).
We accept payment by Card, Cheque or Bank Trans.
Any additional costs for the project will be advised in
advance (where possible) for approval.
Compatibility and Search Engine Optimisation
All websites and software is fully optimised for display on
all browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Chrome).
Standard web sites, Content managed Wordpress sites
and ecommerce solutions are highly optimised and
coded to the highest of efficiency with Google in mind.
We suggest that all copy is written specifically for web
use in mind and optimised for search engines; unless a
proper SEO campaign is being applied we can not
guarantee your site appearing on page one.
