Important Campus Locations for WOS 2010 On the next page is a campus map with specific buildings labeled for the WOS conference. We will be using the following buildings. Scandling Center (Parking available off Pulteney St at the Medberry lot 1 ) • Registration Table (beginning on Thursday morning 2 ) • Meeting place for all field trips • Saga Cafeteria for those dining on campus • Thursday evening social icebreaker • Friday coffee breaks and evening Poster session • Saturday evening banquet • Vendors located in Vandervort room Library – Geneva and Sanford Rooms • Concurrent scientific presentations on Friday and Saturday • Friday morning business meeting • Concurrent Symposia on Saturday • Multimedia room will be open for computer use, just off the library atrium 3 Albright Auditorium • Opening remarks • Margaret Morse Nice lecture • Ghost Bird screening Jackson, Reese, and Potter (Parking nearby, just off St. Clair St.) • Dormitory rooms 1 Parking on campus does not require a special permit during the conference. However, please obey “no parking” signs. 2 The Registration table will not be open on Wednesday. Registrants arriving on Wednesday should go directly to the Conference and Events Office in Delancey House (616 South Main St., which is the same as Rte 14). 3 In addition to the use of the Library’s Multimedia room for computing, most buildings on campus (including the “common spaces” in dormitories) have free Wifi. You can access the HWS Guest Wireless system on your own web devices. In your dormitory rooms, you can plug directly into the Ethernet (using your own cable.) ii
