FirstBuy is open to first time buyers with an annual household <strong>in</strong>come of less<br />
than £60,000 who are unable to otherwise afford to purchase a suitable property<br />
on the open market without assistance. You will need a deposit of 5% of the<br />
property price.<br />
Those eligible may then qualify for an equity loan of up to 20% of the property<br />
value, jo<strong>in</strong>tly funded by the housebuilder and the Government. The buyer then has<br />
to f<strong>in</strong>d a mortgage for the balance of 75 per cent of the property price, as well as<br />
their 5% deposit.<br />
