K AWASAKI’S Chad Reed and the
Honda duo of Dean Ferris and
Brett Metcalfe will represent
Australia at the 2010 Red Bull
Motocross of Nations in 2010
to be held in Colorado, USA on
the 26th of September.
Chad will be our MX1 rider,
Ferris MX2 and Metcalfe MX3.
The Australian team will go
head to head with the world’s
best riders in Colorado and if all
riders per form to the maximum
capabilities it could well be our
strongest showing in many years.
It is a true indication of the depth
of Australian motocross when
Jay Marmont and Kirk Gibbs are
picked as the reser ves in case
any of the three selec ted riders
are injured bet ween now and
September 26.
Marmont was reduced to the
reser ve list af ter the recent
announcement by the FIM
stipulating that in 2010 the
maximum age for the MX2 class
rider is 23 years, meaning that
riders born before 1 Januar y 1987
were not able to be selec ted for
the MX2 class.
Australia will be looking for a
bet ter result than its seventh
place f inish at last year’s MXoN.

DAVID Knight will return to the World Enduro
Championship for the 2011 and 2012 seasons
competing for K TM Farioli and will start a consulting
role much like Stefan Everts to help with the
development of the K TM enduro range.
K TM has once again seen the value in having a world
class competitor like Knight working hand-in-hand
with K TM’s R&D exper ts and his contribution in the
development of the nex t generation of K TM’s Enduro
machines will ensure that K TM can provide the racing
fraternit y with true state - of-the -ar t racing machines.
2010 has already been a solid year for Knight with the
big Brit currently leading the E3 World Championship
standings by 30 points and has yet to be pushed
of f the podium in the f irst f ive rounds of this year’s
championship.
If Knight manages to wrap up the 2010 E3 World
Championships the trophy will have to pushed beside
a plethora of awards that include eight national titles,
double World Enduro Championships, t wo GNCC
championships, GBXC champion 2008, AMA Endurocross
champion 2007, t wo Erzberg E x tremes, the U. S. Red
Bull Last Man Standing and the ISDE overall winner in
2005.
