‘GP1’will be hoping for a return to the winners circle, though he will not have it all his own way with the<br />
Superman, Dean Gleeson in his Blown Alcohol Displacement (BAD) boat ‘Kryptonite’ sure to push. The<br />
engines are making in excess of 1800hp and propelling the craft to speeds up to 180mp (270kph). In all<br />
over 70 race teams from across Australia are expected to compete for $20,000 prize money.<br />
The event is supported by the <strong>Boat</strong>ing Industry Association of Victoria with the aim to promote safe boating<br />
for the recreational boating industry and will have a display and stand over the weekend.<br />
The weekend starts with practice on Saturday morning with racing commencing at noon. Lake Mulwala<br />
<strong>Power</strong> opens on the Yarrawonga Foreshore at 9am Saturday 29 th and Sunday 30 th , with presentations<br />
concluding the event at the Mulwala Water Ski Club Sunday evening.<br />
