marketing activities & public relations activi- 14 Teagan with her Dad, Dom A New Corporate Image The Centre spent six months working with Perth’s leading branding agency 303 to develop a new name and look. This was officially launched in March 2007. Our new name - The Centre for Cerebral Palsy - aptly captures what we do: we are at the centre or ‘hub’ of research and innovation, quality services, support and management of CP. Our new logo has retained the Forget-Me-Not, which has served as the visual symbol of our Organisation since the 1950’s. The Centre’s new by-line ‘Celebrating Potential, Creating Possibilities’ draws on the alphabetic properties of cerebral palsy (CP) utilising the letters to promote optimism and warmth. “The launch of a new name and look will offer us tremendous opportunities to build upon the last 55 years and take us successfully into the future.” John Knowles - CEO, The Centre for Cerebral Palsy. Promotional Material A range of new promotional material complementing our new brand and logo has been developed. This has included developing a new look for our Website, Brand News and Programme Newsletters, Annual Report and Letterhead. A range of templates, including Fact Sheets, Brochures, Booklets, Reports, Invitations and Powerpoint Presentations have also been developed and are serving as a useful resource for staff, ensuring that all of our communications deliver a consistent and coherent message about our identity. Corporate Partnerships During 2006 The Centre for Cerebral Palsy had an exciting and prosperous partnership with the Fremantle Football Club. The Centre was chosen by the Fremantle Football Club as its Charity of the Year for the 2005 and 2006 seasons. This afforded many opportunities for The Centre in raising awareness of CP within the wider community and was tremendously well received by clients and staff who enjoyed the many player appearances and fun opportunities provided by the partnership. The Centre for Cerebral Palsy was also proud to be the Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s (CCI) nominated Charity of the Year, through a range of activities, including payroll deductions, free dress days, raffles and a charity golf day. Events In 2006, The Centre revitalised our biggest event of the year - Cerebral Palsy Awareness Week. Our aim was to broaden the scope of the week by including and engaging the wider community and introducing fundraising initiatives. Our expectations were exceeded with more than $55,000 raised during the Week – $1,000 for every year of service to people living with CP. Media & Publicity Highlights During the year, our communications with media for the countless activities, events and achievements of many of our clients, staff and projects, continued to make a significant impact on our profile, promoting people with disabilities in a positive manner as valued and equal members of society.
