Friday, May 22nd—Well Lit
Memorial Day Bike Rodeo
In April of 2006 Well Lit hit the public stage. Now two years later, they have become one
of Cedar Rapids favorite bands with a mix of classic rock songs and great dance tunes.
Once you see Well Lit, you’ll be a fan too. The Well Lit music selection is brought about
from the music the band members grew up with. Playing music from Led Zeppelin, Van
Halen, The Who and The Rolling Stones you get the sense of their rock beginnings.
Bring your dancing shoes and be ready to party when you come out to see Well Lit.
Friday, June 26th—Greenbrier
Headed by Matthew Kane, Greenbrier has opened shows for Sony Burgess, Keith
Anderson, Exile, LoneStar, Neal McCoy, 38 Special, Charlie Daniels Band and Lynyrd
Skynyrd. They enjoy playing songs that have moved people in some way. So if you’re
looking for something new, and you want to dance to a mix of Country, Southern Rock,
or New Age Bluegrass, then Greenbrier is your band!
Friday, July 17th — 5 of Hearts
The 5 of Hearts plays a wide variety of dance music ranging from classic rock to newer
country and even some movie soundtrack tunes. This band has a great time performing
and loves to entertain the crowd. Their song list includes hits by Shania Twain, Lynryrd
Skynyrd, Gretchen Wilson, The Beetles, Linda Ronstadt, Carrie Underwood, Elvis (in
costume) and many, many more. Their #1 goal is to play what the crowd wants to hear
and likes to dance to.
Friday, August 21st — Holiday Road
Volunteer Appreciation Concert
Please join us in showing our appreciation for all of the volunteers who have given their
time to help the city throughout the year.
Originally started in 1984 by veteran full-time road musicians, Holiday Road, known for
their tight music and great vocals, quickly became one of the most sought after road
bands in the 1980's and 90's. In the mid-90's Texas/Indiana based musician Shannon
Price moved to Iowa City and re-formed the popular band in 2003. Their energetic music
ranges from Current and Classic Rock and Pop to kickin' Country. Always a band in
demand, Holiday Road, with Shannon's legendary vocals, is making great music once
again.
