Believing
…in one’s own abilities unlocks the breakthroughs—big
and small, that occur daily at every CARC program site.
Success—however it is defined, is rooted in a steadfast drive and high degree of belief in one’s own
abilities. While realizing goals requires perseverance and diligence, it helps immeasurably when others
share the belief that you will succeed. At CARC, we have witnessed too many accomplishments—
many of which at some point deemed “impossible” by medical and professional “experts,” to not
believe in the vast promise of every child and adult we support.
For some people, “believing” translates into a job or living more independently. For others, it could
entail achieving a goal that may appear more modest, but is in no way less significant.
CARC programs afford individuals with the freedom to pursue self-identified directives as well as
the security of direct support—and encouragement when a helping hand is needed.
In all instances, at the core of every success is a belief in one’s own abilities. It is the key that unlocks
the breakthroughs, big and small, that occur daily at every CARC program site.
