seam BINDING
Internal seam binding prevents fraying and is a key element in the
design of a lasting durable product. Binding creates an inner frame
supporting the pack’s stability.
Variquick
Create your custom fit by making your individual
height adjustment. For differing back lengths,
easily follow these steps of adjustment.
• Estimate the correct position of the harness on the back.
• Unfasten and pull out the Velcro closure
from the “webbing ladder”
• Put the harness strap into the right position,
then slip the strap through (4) attachment loops.
[Using less than 4 attachment loops could cause
instability while carrying, and possibly the Velcro
closure to detach from the pack during carrying.]
• Fold over the strap and secure the Velcro closure.
seam AND STRAPS
Deuter products are strong and durable because the pack seams
are multiple sewn. In key areas bar tacking is used for added
strength. To prevent fraying the straps are heat sealed.

QUALITY BUCKLES
Thoroughly tested quality buckles are exclusively used in the entire

• Estimate the correct position
of the harness on the back.
• Reach through the side of
the ventilated back system
and loosen the ladder lock.
• Position the harness strap
into the right position.
