Skin Tests - Client Information
• A skin test must be carried out before every tinting, bleaching and St Tropez treatment,
even if you have had one before.
• This is to ensure you do not suffer an allergic reaction to any products used.
• You must come into Images 24 to 48 hours before your appointment.
• Do not wash the skin test off your skin. It must be visible when you arrive for your
treatment.
• During the 48 hours be aware of any reddening, irritation, itching or swelling - this would
be signs of a positive reaction!!
• Although these allergies are very rare, it is possible to develop an allergy to any substance
at any point in your life.
• Skin tests are not only College policy, but are also recommended by the manufacturer and
therefore are a legal requirement.
• The skin test is not painful and will only take a few minutes.
• A skin test is the best way of safeguarding you against a reaction, however on rare
occasions it is still possible to suffer an allergic reaction.
