For recent graduates like myself, giving
reinforces our support for the school and
for the community of graduates we interact
with day in and day out while practicing law
in the Bay Area. I feel like I am still part of
Hastings, and it makes me remember my
best experiences there, both academic and
in making lifelong friends.

When I enrolled in ’73, Hastings was the
most affordable place I could attend. I was
married, and would ultimately have two
children during law school, and it was
possible to do that with no loans on one
salary. I’ve been very fortunate to be
successful in my career and I attribute
much of that to the quality of my Hastings
education. I give back on an annual basis so
this generation will have the opportunity I
had to attend a nationally ranked law
school without being suffocated by debt.
With state support dwindling basically to
zero, somebody has to step in.
