high schools established in partnership with<br />
public school districts and its post-secondary<br />
scholarship program, <strong>Simon</strong> Youth Foundation<br />
(SYF) makes education a reality for students<br />
who need a little extra help. Students like<br />
Jimmy, a scholarship recipient.<br />
Jimmy wrote “I knew I wanted more in life and I had dreams. I was told about the<br />
scholarship <strong>Simon</strong> Youth Foundation offered and I figured why not give it a shot. It<br />
turned out to be the wisest decision I have ever<br />
made. When I got news that I was a scholarship<br />
recipient I was overwhelmed with joy, because<br />
from that point on I knew that I had a helping<br />
hand.”<br />
Since 1998, SYF’s alterative schools have<br />
graduated 5,000 students, maintained an 90%<br />
success rate and it has awarded more than $5.9<br />
million in scholarships.<br />
