Dear Teachers, Dancers, Families and Friends, Welcome to Tribute National Talent in Denver Colorado. It is hard to believe that we are beginning our 2 nd season and we are gearing up for another year full of wonderful memories that will live with us forever. As I look back on our 1 st year, there are so many feelings that I have in my heart. I have so much appreciation and gratitude for those who believed in me and participated in a Tribute National Talent event last year. After being in this industry for over 20 years, and now owning my own competition, I have a very clear vision for the future with a personal approach to make a difference in the lives of others. I feel so fortunate and humbled by the continued blessings that I have received allowing me to do what I love. Spending time with teachers, dancers and families brings such joy and happiness to my life. With so many choices that studio owners and families have for which dance events to attend, I want to make Tribute stand out as being more than just a focus on competing. I feel that by asking for dancers to open their hearts and share their love and appreciation for those who are dear to them makes an impression on everyone. In presenting “The Tribute to My Parents Award”, we have an opportunity to witness a moment that has made an impact in so many ways not only for me and my family, but for everyone who attends Tribute. Having a dancer write about their parents and how much of a difference they have made in their lives is very emotional. There is nothing more rewarding for me than to honor my late father by presenting this to a family not based on a score, rather based on feelings of an open heart that can be shared on paper with the entire audience. This season I am honored to be working with a friend of mine Mr. Jeremy Keeton, owner of Adrenaline Dance. Adrenaline is one of the elite national conventions offering some of the most innovative classes with a teaching staff that is very well established and respected in the industry. We will be awarding scholarships from Adrenaline for their events and to the highest scoring number of the weekend at Tribute each dancer in the winning number receives a $200 scholarship to attend any Adrenaline summer event. I feel it is so important to put the competitive nature of our industry aside and work together with other companies to share a common respect for one another with a main focus of doing what we can to help teachers, dancers and their families. I am so excited about this new year and our loving staff will be working together as a team to provide an atmosphere that is both positive and professional. We want you to feel very comfortable and welcome during your time with us this weekend. Our ultimate goal will be for you to leave our events knowing that we work hard for YOU and that you feel appreciated. I will always want Tribute to be a competition that is known for its integrity, kindness, compassion and generosity. These simple yet powerful attributes will be what leads us into the future.
