A monthly musical
fundraising partnership of
the Park Slope
Food Coop and
the Brooklyn Society
for Ethical Culture
Paul Friedman and
Jody Kruskal
These two guys from Brooklyn love to play old-time tunes
and songs from North America and beyond. Heart songs
and hokum, by turns, silly, sweet and serious. Jody has a
distinctly American sound on the concertina, like a fistful
of harmonicas, with rich harmony and melodic counterpoint
while pumping out rhythms with the bellows. Paul
is deep in the traditions of old-time fiddling and both
enjoy a rich medley of tunes and songs from the U.S.,
England, Sweden and the Shetland Islands.
