the good top value from the Eva Peron series, this like much of this album being unmounted mint. A very good base on which to
build a collection of Argentina. £295
BARBADOS Four album pages containing a mint and used collection of Q. Victoria with some duplication, commences with
the 1882-6 issue with mint values to 5/-, mixed condition on some but overall a decent enough representation of this issue.
The next page contains a complete mint set of 1892 issues with extras, the used set of the same issue follows with shades &
duplicates. The 1897-98 Diamond Jubilee mint set is missing the 6d value and a complete used set with extras. Overall this is a
nice accumulation with many better sets & values included. Catalogue value in excess of £1,800. £495
BOTSWANA This is a fascinating study of the postmarks of Botswana predominantly on the Birds definitive issue on 9 album
pages. We notice very many strange sounding names and doubtless many are quite small villages and thus relatively scarce
marks. Decent lot and well written up for expansion & further study. £110
CEYLON 1935-40 Mixture of mint & used includes 1935 set to 1r used, 1935 S. Jubilee used, 1938 KGVI to 5r used & to 30c
mint, extra perf & wmk variations. Cat approx £250 £75
COCOS & KEELING ISLANDS Comprehensive collection of Cocos & Keeling Islands material presented in a Stanley Gibbons
‘Devon’ binder. There are in excess of 110 pages. The collection runs from the very first issue in 1963 to 1995 and includes
pretty much every thing in both mint and used condition. There are also a number of multiples and gutter pairs etc., and even a
few commemorative covers etc.. Fine condition throughout. Everything we checked except the first set were unmounted mint and
there is a second set of the first issue which is unmounted mint on another page. Fine lot which catalogues in excess of £1150. £525
ERITREA (ITALIAN COLONIAL PERIOD) Single album page Commences with 1903 - 8 stamps of Italy overprinted including
the good 10 Lire SG46 mint which catalogues £450 and is in good condition. There follows the Victory set and the 1922 Somalia
issue overprinted. Finally there are Express stamps including the 30c which catalogues £160.
All mint bar two of the Somalia overprints and we calculate this page catalogues well in excess of £800. £295
GERMANY Single black Hagner sheet of used German stamps, from the third Reich period. Decent lot and most seem in good
condition. The top line alone catalogues some £282 so this is a reasonably nice lot and mostly with nice postmarks. We have not
calculated the total catalogue value but believe it will be in the region of £600+ as the lot also includes the good 1930 welfare set
of four etc.. £140
GERMANY Red 64 page stock book containing a range of stamps from Germany. Somewhat duplicated in places but will break
well and needs tidying up. The stock book commences with a range of fine used West Germany, mostly Defintive series but
includes better values and all in fine condition. We note a small selection of frama type labels and then a range of unmounted mint
sets and miniature sheets including the 1959 Beethoven Hall and a further 29 sheets that look to be in a continuous sequence.
There then follows a small number of later used Miniature Sheets and commemoratives with modest duplication from 2001 to
circa 2005. The book then leaps backwards to 1902 and there are various used issues through to the Reich period including
better. Overall there are many reasonable stamps and sets here and allowing for the few blank pages we would say the album
is 2/3 full. £195
GIBRALTAR 1952 to 1989 Fine used collection in a Collecta ‘one country’ 22 ring binder with printed pages and spaces marked
for every stamp. This is a good clean lot of the period and a high degree of completeness. All basic definitive issues, most
commemoratives including all the various omnibus issues in the 1960’s, a few Europa sheetlets and postage dues. We have
calculated the catalogue value in excess of £800 £325
GRENADA 1861-91 Interesting mint & used selection on 2 x album pages including a good spread of the various ovpts including
a few used that re always difficult to acquire and 7 different mint tete-beche pairs. Good lot with a cat value in the region of
£2,500+, we have erred on the side of caution as we did not have time to check on all wmks & perfs nor the many varieties that
occur on the ovpts £495
ITALY Single black Hagner sheet containing a small number of items from Italy. We note Postage Dues, Express stamps and
a set of Parcel post issues alongside a couple of early commemoratives. Decent lot, condition a little mixed on a couple but
generally good used examples. We calculate the catalogue value of this little lot in excess of £2,300 £420
ITALIAN COLONY OF SOMALIA Three album pages on the first page are the mint postage dues to the 10 Lire top value, the
bottom line catalogue £450 alone. In addition there is a good copy of SGD77a the 10c Postage Due with inverted overprint, which
catalogued £140 in 2003 and is obviously more highly rated today. The second page The Express label pair are also useful. We
believe this page catalogues some £720. The other pages contain reasonable material including sets & overall this collection is
a very good basis for continuation. Clean lot , which we calculate catalogues circa £1,040. £340
LIBYA Two album pages displaying a range of Libyan stamps from the Italian Colony period which commenced in 1912. The
first page has either a mint or used copy of every value in the first set SG1/16 missing only the 5 Lire which is the key stamp,
although it does include a decent mint copy of the 10 Lire SG16 that catalogues £200. Thereafter we have a nice used pair of
the first Express stamp issue and the 1922 overprint pair. The second page consists of various mint and used values of the
1921 series including both 5 Lire and 10 Lire mint the latter with a horizontal crease which is not immediately obvious. These two
catalogue £251. There is also a fine used 1922 Victory set. We calculate the overall catalogue value is in excess of £825. £250
MALAYA Two album pages, first a page of stamps from Johore, with some decent used stamps up to face value of 50c. Some
of these are quite difficult. Then a page of stamps from Kedah, mostly mint but includes a decent 21 cent used stamp. £130
SINGAPORE: KGVI mint selection on two pages consists of the Perf 14 set to $2 and Perf 17½ x 18 to 35c + $1 & $2 definitve
issues. Also range of blocks to 40c Perf 14 in marginal blocks of 4 (3 u/m). Cat £390+. £120
SOUTHERN RHODESIA Six album pages pre 1953, Decent little lot including various Victoria Falls types, then a page of the
George V second issue used including several of the better perforation varieties (page cats £249), 1935 Silver Jubilee and 1937
Coronation issues both mint and used, George VI definitives with the three top values mint (cat £51) and various values to 2/6d
used. The Cecil Rhodes 150th anniversary set complete fine used and a few later. Nicely presented lot which catalogues in
excess of £440. £150
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA This offer is almost entirely of American origin. What we can try and tempt you with is a brown
32 sided (16 black pages) stock - book containing several hundred ‘Cinderella’ items. Poster stamps, commemorative labels,
exhibition souvenirs etc. This lot is an Aladdin’s cave of interesting items and a fascinating study lot. The scope and range of
material on offer is very wide and we note many dated in the 1920s and 30s a few earlier and a few a bit later but much of interest
and unusually most in very fine condition given their age. Obviously we have only illustrated 6 of the pages but these give a
flavour of the lot. All of the items are priced and the total prices come out well in excess of £1,700. We have not seen such an
accumulation of these previously, the stock book is basically 90% full. £595
