The Portuguese Navy is planning the construction <strong>of</strong><br />
two marine patrol vessels which can act as anti-pollution<br />
vessels, and which will be equipped with marine booms<br />
and a Transrec recuperator enabling dynamic collection<br />
(200 m 3 product storage capacity). These vessels cost<br />
€ 50,000,000 each.<br />
2. PRIVATE RESOURCES<br />
There are no known private contractors for at sea response<br />
in Portugal. Nevertheless, private oil terminals<br />
and oil handling facilities own limited equipment to respond<br />
to small spills.<br />
