The purpose of THE IPRAS JOURNAL is to provide a rapid
reporting of things of interest to IPRAS members. This includes all
individuals’ members of national societies who participate in the
IPRAS organization. Because of the broad umbrella of IPRAS this
includes matters of interest across a broad spectrum of subspecialties
including burn surgery, microscopic and
reconstruction surgery, hand surgery, craniofacial surgery, and
aesthetic surgery.
In many instances it will include matters of interest to all
specialties of plastic surgery combined. Matters of interest
include, but are not limited to surgical techniques, patient care,
patient safety, recognition and treatment of complications of
surgery, humanitarian contributions and schedules of pending
meetings.

One of the objectives of our redesigned site is to promote the art
and science of plastic surgery. In order to do so, the visitors of our
site can find information about IPRAS, the national associations
that are part of IPRAS and information about individual
practitioners. Also, there is information about our charitable work
throughout the world and in particular our woman for woman
program
As IPRAS is committed to promote education and research in the
field of plastic surgery, visitors to our site will find useful
information regarding our future events and conferences and also
information about our affiliate organization IQUAM, the
International Committee for Quality Assurance, Medical
Technologies and Devices in Plastic Surgery.
Also we needed a central point where the national associations,
individual practitioners, patients and the medical industry can
find out information about recent and relevant developments in
the world of plastic surgery, we offer the opportunity for the
exchange of ideas and discussion about recent developments in
plastic surgery in our forum.
