GRAND YORK RITE SESSIONS BANQUET<br />
The annual banquet of the <strong>2012</strong> Grand <strong>York</strong> <strong>Rite</strong> Sessions was held on<br />
Saturday evening, April 14 th , at the Red Lion Downtowner Inn, 1800<br />
Fairview Avenue, Boise, ID, with Companion and Sir Knight James C.<br />
Herndon as the Master of Ceremonies (MC). MC Herndon offered a few<br />
opening remarks and introduced the following distinguished guests:<br />
Sir Knight Lawrence E. Tucker, Right Eminent Grand Recorder, Grand<br />
Encampment Knights Templar of the USA and Personal Representative of<br />
Sir Knight William Howard Koon II, Most Eminent Grand Master of the<br />
Grand Encampment Knights Templar of the USA.<br />
Sir Knight Michael B. Johnson, Northwest Department Commander,<br />
Grand Encampment of Knights Templar USA.<br />
Companion Charles L. Hollinger, Right Puissant General Grand<br />
Treasurer, General Grand Council Cryptic Masons International; and<br />
Personal Representative of Most Puissant Companion George C. Sellars,<br />
Most Puissant General Grand Illustrious Master, of the General Grand<br />
Council of Cryptic Masons International.<br />
Companion Brian D. Bechler, Right Puissant Regional Deputy General<br />
Grand Master Northwest Region, General Grand Council Cryptic Masons<br />

Companion David L. Salberg, Deputy General Grand High Priest<br />

MC Herndon then asked the attendees to stand and follow him in the<br />
Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America.<br />
MC Herndon then asked Sir Knight and Companion Rev Robert B.<br />
Perry to offer the blessing.<br />
Following dinner and dessert, MC Herndon began the awards portion of<br />
the evening.<br />
First MC Herndon turned the podium over to Companion John W.<br />
Zeller, Sr., Junior Past Grand High Priest, who asked Companion David L.<br />
Salberg to join him and give some background on the awards from the<br />
General Grand Chapter. They then proceeded to send forth a Companion to<br />
escort, to his great surprise, Companion James L. Curtis and his Lady<br />
Patricia to the Podium. It was then announced Companion Curtis was the<br />
recipient of the <strong>2012</strong> General Grand Chapter Bronze Service Medal.<br />
Companion Salberg then presented Ladies Mary Burnham, Agnes R. Teter<br />
and Cathy Jo Zeller, with the General Grand Chapter Sweetheart Awards.<br />
Companion Salberg then presented Companion Zeller, Sr., with his Past<br />
Grand High Priest’s Certificate, the Lapel Pin, and his Permanent
Change language
