Chapter – X<br />

A student may be allowed to combine attendance in previous <strong>College</strong>/<br />

<strong>College</strong>s, if admitted on transfer.<br />

A student admitted to the first year class of this <strong>College</strong> may be admitted<br />

to the First Semester <strong>Exam</strong>ination if he/she has completed a regular course<br />

of study during the duration of the Semester in the subjects he/she has<br />

offered.<br />

Only such students who appear at/ enroll for the First Semester<br />

<strong>Exam</strong>ination shall be eligible to appear in the next semester examination by<br />

paying the normal dues.<br />

Students shall be allowed to appear in the next Semester <strong>Exam</strong>inations on<br />

the condition that they fulfill the criteria laid down in Para 9.1 (e) and<br />

otherwise qualified to appear in the examinations. However before filling<br />

of forms of a particular semester he/she must have filled up the forms /<br />

appeared in all the previous semesters.<br />

MODE OF QUESTION PAPERS AND LANGUAGE FOR QUESTION<br />

SETTING<br />

10.1 All theory examinations shall be conducted by means of written papers (printed,<br />

written or typed) to be set in English.<br />

Provided that papers in Modern Indian Language shall be set and answered in<br />

the respective languages and papers in classical languages shall be set in<br />

respective classical languages and shall be answered in the classical or modern<br />

Indian languages or in both as offered by the candidate.<br />

Provided further that candidates may be permitted to answer all papers other<br />

than English in Oriya language.<br />

10.2 Questions shall cover all the units provided that there shall be two alternative<br />

questions from each unit from which a candidate shall have to answer one<br />

question from each unit. Provided that long and objective questions shall be set<br />

as per the specification of the syllabus. Provided that there shall not be more than<br />

40% repeat of the question from the questions set in the previous year from the<br />

syllabus. However this non-repetition provision shall not be in operation in case<br />

of the introduction of new syllabus.<br />

10.3 In preparation of Questions the Controller of <strong>Exam</strong>inations shall maintain<br />

absolute confidentiality, the names of the question setters shall not be disclosed at<br />

any cost.<br />

10.4 Questions thus prepared shall be moderated at least by two moderators of the<br />

subject concerned.<br />

10.5 An exhaustive list of Question Setters and Moderators in prescribed proforma<br />

shall be provided to the Controller by the subject Board of Studies.<br />

10.6 After moderation the question manuscripts shall be finalised and shall be sent for<br />

printing, packing to a confidential printing firm. For security and confidential<br />

reasons the Controller shall in no condition shall disclose the name of the firm<br />

and the bills for payment to the confidential firm shall be passed by the Principal<br />

only after the examination for the question sets are over and kept in a sealed<br />

packet with the certificate of the Controller and Principal on the cover.
