From a June 2007 letter from New Outlook Teen Center (Exeter, NH) thanking
The Music Hall for its Meet the Masters program and the backstage visit of 10 teens
with Intimately Yours singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile:
“It is not often that the teens here at the New Outlook Teen Center have
an opportunity like the one we had Friday, and I can say without a doubt
that it was a night we will always remember.
Having the opportunity to meet the singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile
backstage was so exciting. She made us feel as though she was just as excited
to talk to us as we were to talk to her. We all enjoyed the fantastic insights
she gave into her music and her life as a singer. I thank you from the bottom
of my heart for helping to make all the girls feel so important and special.
For one teen in particular, the impact was immeasurably positive – she
left The Music Hall that night a changed person. The backstage meeting and
the gift of the concert touched her relationship with her family and her view
of herself in the world.
Thank you for all you did for us and for what you do in the community.
Your generosity and compassion make such a difference in so many lives!”
