“In 2002 <strong>Steveston</strong> played host to the tall ships from various parts of the<br />
world, including one from as far away as Holland. I painted this work<br />
trying to recreate some of the atmosphere that would have been the old<br />
<strong>Steveston</strong>. The tall ships are being towed in by fussy steam tugs, while<br />
hundreds of little gillnetters return to their shoreside houses at the end<br />
of the day.”<br />
