• The Nucleus is neither a Fermi gas nor a system of independent<br />
particles but a self-bound saturated correlated liquid which nowadays<br />
can theoretically be described with high degree of c<strong>on</strong>fidence.<br />
The SRC structure of nuclei has been experimentally unveiled and<br />
its systematic investigati<strong>on</strong> is under way.<br />
• A reliable theoretical approach has been developed to treat simultaneously<br />
SRC NN correlati<strong>on</strong>s and Gribov inelastic shadowing<br />
in high energy nuclear collisi<strong>on</strong>s.<br />
• In the c<strong>on</strong>sidered processes the effects from NN correlati<strong>on</strong>s are<br />
of the same order of the effects of Gribov inelastic shadowing, the<br />
two effects acting in the opposite directi<strong>on</strong>s.<br />
• Calculati<strong>on</strong>s for relativistic heavy i<strong>on</strong> scattering are in progress.<br />
