MANAGEMENT OF COMPLICATIONS Recommendations (2/4) • Low-dose s.c. heparin or low molecular weight heparins should be considered for patients at high risk of DVT or pulmonary embolism (Class I, LevelA) • Administration of anticonvulsants is recommended to prevent recurrent seizures (Class I, Level A) • Prophylactic administration of anticonvulsants to patients with recent stroke who have not had seizures is not recommended d(Class IV, GCP) • An assessment of falls risk is recommended for every stroke patient (Class IV, GCP)
