WINSTER BOON DAY—10 <strong>November</strong><br />

We are holding a Boon day at Holy Trinity<br />

from 10am-2pm (ish). We should like to tidy<br />

the church yard, including the grass, leaves <strong>and</strong><br />

walls <strong>and</strong> give the church a good clean.<br />

COFFEE AND SOUP will be served to fortify<br />

the workers! Please make a note <strong>of</strong> this date in<br />

your diaries <strong>and</strong> come <strong>and</strong> join in the "fun".<br />

Saturday, <strong>November</strong> 24th, 10am-4pm.<br />

Do join us for an early Christmas celebration.<br />

<strong>The</strong>re is a warm welcome with a log fire, good<br />

books to buy, c<strong>of</strong>fee, tea <strong>and</strong> delicious cakes.<br />

We have lots <strong>of</strong> very reasonable items suitable<br />

for Christmas presents, as well as our own<br />

Winster calendars <strong>and</strong> Christmas Cards. Contributions<br />

We had a wonderful harvest weekend. <strong>The</strong><br />

Friday <strong>November</strong> 16th at 7.30pm<br />

Another <strong>of</strong> Andy's fascinating talks,<br />

with slides, on the history <strong>of</strong> our<br />

surrounding area.<br />

Do come <strong>and</strong> join us in our newly<br />

decorated hall.<br />

Harvest supper was a really happy occasion<br />

with about 100 people enjoying the meal<br />

<strong>and</strong> the auction. We raised the record sum <strong>of</strong><br />

£1040 for Church funds.<br />

<strong>The</strong> following morning, there was a lovely,<br />

well attended Harvest service . <strong>The</strong> Church<br />

looked splendid - the many beautiful , inspired<br />

<strong>and</strong> interesting displays reflecting<br />

fruit, vegetable <strong>and</strong> crop harvests as well as<br />

celebrating dairy <strong>and</strong> sheep farming. <strong>The</strong>re<br />

was even the aroma <strong>of</strong> newly baked bread!<br />

All those involved in the weekend – whether<br />

it was by helping, donating so generously or<br />

by attending– deserve our sincere thanks.<br />
